We hauled it before we brokered it.

Three generations of Polos, trucking in the Columbia Basin since 1967, and a rule that has not changed since the first truck: when your yes is a yes and your no is a no, people keep calling.

Our story

From a potato truck in Othello to 48 states.

The Garza family has been in trucking since 1967, when Hipolito "Polo" Garza bought his first truck in Othello, Washington, and hauled agricultural products out of the Columbia Basin. His son, Polo Garza Jr., earned his CDL in 1981, drove for years, and founded Oasis Farms & Trucking in 1995. He ran flatbed loads of potatoes, onions, and wheat out of the Columbia Basin, then drywall, steel, lumber, and roofing for builders across the Northwest. Over those years the company moved roughly 100,000 loads and 35 million miles.

In 2017 the next generation wrote the plan that turned Oasis into a brokerage. The trucks were sold, the carrier network was built, and in the first year the company went from about 40 loads a week to 150. Today Oasis Freight Transport moves 100+ loads a day across all 48 states and Canada, working with hundreds of shippers and thousands of vetted carriers from our office in Kennewick.

We are still a trucking company. Our ownership owns trucks and trailers to this day, operated under Oasis Trucking, which makes Oasis an asset-based brokerage: we have our own iron for the loads that need it, we know what a load really costs to run, and the owners still answer the phone.

How we give back

Part of every load goes somewhere that matters.

Oasis is a family company, and the family has always given. We support organizations in the Tri-Cities and beyond that feed people, protect kids, and put instruments in the hands of children who would not otherwise have them. Half our team has served on a mission trip to Sonora, Mexico.
