Oasis Freight Transport LLC ("Oasis", "we", "us") is a licensed freight broker (MC 16145). This policy explains what information we collect from the shippers, carriers and drivers we work with, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Business contact details: names, company names, email addresses, phone numbers and mailing addresses.
- Carrier details: MC and DOT numbers, insurance, payment and factoring information, and the paperwork needed to set up and pay a carrier.
- Load details: pickup and delivery locations, appointment times, rates, and shipping documents such as rate confirmations, bills of lading and proofs of delivery.
- Location updates for loads in transit, shared by the carrier or driver through tracking tools while they haul a load for us.
- Records of messages we exchange with you, including text messages and your text messaging consent.
How we use it
- To offer, book, track, invoice and pay for freight.
- To contact you about loads, including by text message if you have agreed to receive texts.
- To verify carriers, prevent fraud, and meet our legal, insurance and accounting obligations.
Text messaging
If you agree to receive text messages from us, for example on our text sign-up page, we use your mobile number only to send load offers and status questions about loads. Our SMS Terms explain how texting works and how to stop it.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with or sold to any third party.
How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share information only as needed to move freight and run our business: with the shippers and carriers on a load, our carrier onboarding, tracking, payment, accounting and messaging providers, factoring companies a carrier directs us to pay, and when the law requires it. Those providers may use the information only to provide their service to us. This does not include text messaging opt-in data or consent, which is never shared.
How we protect and keep it
We use access controls, encryption for backups, and restricted accounts to protect information. We keep records as long as needed for the purposes above and as required for tax, accounting and legal reasons.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Reply STOP to any text to stop text messages.
